Used to determine the specific gravity of soil in the range of 0.995 to 1.038 or -5 to 60 g/L (using a weight by volume scale), these hydrometers conform to the accuracy requirements of ASTM hydrometers. The hydrometers are 280mm (11") long and feature a lead-free ballast and glass construction. Each unit is individually serialized and has undergone hand inspection by our U.S. quality team. The temperature standardization is set at 68°F/68°F, and they are packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST.
