Used to determine proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, these hydrometers are available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. They measure 300mm (12") in length and feature a lead-free ballast, constructed from glass in accordance with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department standards. The tolerances for these hydrometers conform to Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, with each unit being individually serialized and hand inspected by our U.S. quality team. Temperature standardization is set at 60°F (15°C). Each hydrometer is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating that the accuracy is traceable to NIST. Note that hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
