Used to determine proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, these hydrometers are available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length, features a lead-free ballast, and is made of glass according to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department standards. The tolerances listed for these hydrometers align with the guidelines in Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, and each unit is individually serialized for testing. Temperature standardization is set at 60°F (15°C), and the hydrometers are hand inspected by our U.S. quality team. The product is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST.
