Made from optical quality polycarbonate material, these plain form hydrometers are ideal for use in situations where rough handling or contamination could be an issue, such as in the food or beverage industries. The hydrometers are durable and shatterproof, featuring an easy-to-read black scale on a yellow background that helps avoid eye fatigue. The dimensions of each hydrometer are 255mm (10") long, and they come with a lead-free ballast that is individually serialized. The temperature standardization is set at 60°F (15°C), and the hydrometers are available in models measuring Baume of syrups and liquids heavier than water, with various ranges from 0 to 31°. Each unit is hand inspected by a U.S. quality team and packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST, with languages including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. These products are made in the USA but are not recommended for use with petroleum-based liquids or other corrosives that could potentially affect the plastic material. Proper storage in a clean, dry, safe place is advised, and they should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
