Used to determine proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, these hydrometers are available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length and features a lead-free ballast, constructed of glass in accordance with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department standards. The tolerances for these hydrometers conform to those outlined in Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, with each unit individually serialized for testing. The temperature standardization for these hydrometers is set at 60°F (15°C), and they are hand inspected by our U.S. quality team. Each unit is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy, available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating that the accuracy is traceable to NIST. Note: Hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place, and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
