Used to determine proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, these hydrometers are available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length and features a lead-free ballast made from glass, conforming to the standards set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department. The tolerances for these hydrometers are those specified in Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, and each unit is individually serialized for traceability. The temperature standardization for these hydrometers is set at 60°F (15°C). Each hydrometer is hand inspected by our U.S. quality team and is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Note: Hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
