Made from optical quality polycarbonate material, these plain form hydrometers are ideal for situations where rough handling or contamination could be an issue, such as in the food or beverage industries. Available in two models measuring sugar from 0° to 35° Brix or 15° to 50° Brix, these hydrometers measure % sucrose by weight. They feature a durable and shatterproof design, an easy-to-read black scale on a yellow background that helps avoid eye fatigue, and a length of 300mm (12"). The hydrometers include a lead-free ballast, are individually serialized, and have a temperature standardization of 20°C. Each unit is hand inspected by the U.S. quality team and packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. These products are made in the USA. Note: Polycarbonate hydrometers are not recommended for use with petroleum-based liquids or other corrosives that could potentially affect the plastic material. They should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
