These plain form hydrometers are available in a variety of models measuring the relative densities (specific gravity) of oil and petroleum products in ranges from -1° to 96° API, in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) E100 standards. They conform to the accuracy requirements of ASTM hydrometers and feature lead-free ballast and glass, individually serialized for quality assurance. Temperature standardization is established at 60°F/60°F, and each hydrometer is hand inspected by a U.S. quality team. The kit includes a multi-language statement of accuracy that is traceable to NIST, available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. It is important to note that hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place, and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
