Used to determine the specific gravity of soil in the range of 0.995 to 1.038, or -5 to 60 g/L (using a weight by volume scale), these hydrometers conform to the accuracy requirements of ASTM hydrometers. The hydrometers are 280mm (11") long, feature a lead-free ballast and glass construction, and are individually serialized. They provide temperature standardization at 68°F/68°F and are hand inspected by a U.S. quality team. Each unit is packaged with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) statement of accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST.
