These plain form hydrometers are available in a variety of models measuring the relative densities (specific gravity) of oil and petroleum products in various ranges from -1° to 96° API, in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) E100 standards. They conform to the accuracy requirements of ASTM hydrometers and feature lead-free ballast and glass construction. Each hydrometer is individually serialized and undergoes hand inspection by a U.S. quality team. The temperature standardization is set at 60°F/60°F, and the product is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place, and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
