This hydrometer kit is designed to determine the proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length, featuring a lead-free ballast and made of glass in accordance with standards set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department. It meets the tolerances outlined in Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, with each hydrometer individually serialized for testing. The standardization temperature is set at 60°F (15°C) and these hydrometers undergo hand inspection by a U.S. quality team. The package includes a multi-language statement of accuracy, available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating that the accuracy is traceable to NIST. It is recommended to store hydrometers in a clean, dry, safe place, avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures.
