These combined-form hydrometers feature a built-in thermometer and are designed to measure the relative density (specific gravity) of oil and petroleum-related products across a range of -1° to 101° API, in compliance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards. They adhere to the accuracy requirements for ASTM thermo-hydrometers and include a lead-free ballast and glass construction. The hydrometer measures 381mm (15") in length with a temperature standardization of 60°F (15°C). The thermometer utilizes a mercury-free blue spirit organic liquid fill, featuring a temperature scale from 0 to 150°F. Each unit is individually serialized, hand inspected by a U.S. quality team, and comes packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, which ensures accuracy traceable to NIST. It is advised that combined-form thermo-hydrometers be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and not exposed to extreme temperatures; the built-in thermometers are for general reference only, and a calibrated standard thermometer is recommended for temperature-critical applications.
