This wide range of combined-form hydrometers is designed for use in the food and beverage industry, as well as other sectors, to accurately measure % sucrose by weight in ranges from 0° to 101° Brix. Each hydrometer includes a built-in thermometer with a temperature scale ranging from 0 to 50°C and conforms to the accuracy requirements for ASTM thermo-hydrometers. With a length of 381mm (15"), these hydrometers feature a lead-free ballast and glass construction. The thermometer is filled with a mercury-free, blue spirit organic liquid and the instruments are individually serialized and hand inspected by a U.S. quality team. They come packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy (including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) that indicates accuracy traceable to NIST. For optimal performance, combined form hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. Enclosed thermometers serve as a general reference only, and for temperature-critical applications, a calibrated standard thermometer is recommended.
