These combined-form hydrometers feature a built-in thermometer and are designed to measure the relative density (specific gravity) of oil and petroleum products across various API ranges from -1° to 101°, in compliance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards. They conform to the accuracy requirements for ASTM thermo-hydrometers and are constructed with a lead-free ballast and glass. Each unit measures 381 mm (15 inches) in length, with temperature standardization set at 60°F (15°C). The thermometer employs a mercury-free blue spirit organic liquid fill and includes a temperature scale ranging from 0 to 150°F. Each hydrometer is individually serialized, hand inspected by a U.S. quality team, and packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Note that these combined form thermo-hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, and safe environment, avoiding extreme temperatures, and the built-in thermometers are intended for general reference; for temperature-sensitive applications, a calibrated standard thermometer is advised.
