The Koch Multi-Pleat XL10 is a medium efficiency extended surface pleated panel filter designed to provide higher initial efficiencies and overall superior performance compared to MERV 8 pleated filters. It achieves a MERV 10 efficiency rating when tested according to ASHRAE test standard 52.2-2017, making it an excellent upgrade from disposable filters and standard MERV 6, 7, and 8 pleated filters. This filter is ideal for use in hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical applications, commercial office buildings, and systems aimed at improving indoor air quality and extending the life of final higher efficiency filters. The high capacity XL10-HC version features similar construction to the standard capacity filter but includes approximately 30% more media, resulting in extended filter life. This makes the XL10-HC particularly suitable for filtration systems where filter change schedules are based on recommended final pressure drop readings.
