The Koch Multi-Pleat XL10 is a medium efficiency extended surface pleated panel filter designed to provide higher initial efficiencies and superior performance compared to MERV 8 pleated filters. It has a MERV 10 efficiency rating when tested according to ASHRAE test standard 52.2-2017, making it suitable as an upgrade from disposable filters and standard MERV 6, 7, and 8 pleated filters. The filter is ideal for applications including hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical environments, commercial office buildings, and systems aimed at improving indoor air quality and extending the life of higher efficiency final filters. The high capacity XL10-HC version shares a similar construction but includes approximately 30% more media, resulting in extended filter life and suitability for filtration systems where filter changes are based on recommended final pressure drop readings.
