The KOCH Multi-PLeat XL10 is a medium efficiency extended surface pleated panel filter designed to provide higher initial efficiencies and overall superior performance compared to MERV 8 pleated filters. It achieves a MERV 10 efficiency rating when tested according to ASHRAE test standard 52.2-2017, making it an excellent upgrade from disposable filters and standard MERV 6, 7, and 8 pleated filters. This filter is well-suited for applications including hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical settings, and commercial office buildings, where improving indoor air quality and extending the life of final higher efficiency filters is important. The high capacity XL10-HC variant offers similar construction but includes approximately 30% more media, resulting in extended filter life, which is beneficial for filtration systems utilizing filter change schedules based on recommended final pressure drop readings.
