The Koch Multi-Pleat XL10 is a medium efficiency extended surface pleated panel filter with a MERV 10 efficiency rating when tested according to ASHRAE test standard 52.2-2017, offering higher initial efficiencies and superior overall performance compared to MERV 8 pleated filters. It serves as an excellent upgrade from disposable filters and standard MERV 6, 7, and 8 pleated filters, making it suitable for use in hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical applications, and commercial office buildings to improve indoor air quality and extend the life of final higher efficiency filters. The kit includes the Multi-Pleat XL10 filter panel, while the high capacity XL10-HC version, constructed similarly to the standard capacity filter, contains approximately 30% more media, resulting in extended filter life. This makes the XL10-HC ideal for filtration systems with filter change schedules based on recommended final pressure drop readings.
