The Koch Multi-Pleat XL10 is a medium efficiency extended surface pleated panel filter designed to deliver enhanced initial efficiencies and superior performance compared to MERV 8 pleated filters. Tested according to ASHRAE test standard 52.2-2017, the Multi-Pleat XL10 achieves a MERV 10 efficiency. This filter represents a significant upgrade from disposable filters and standard MERV 6, 7, and 8 pleated filters, making it suitable for applications in hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical settings, and commercial office buildings, as well as for systems aimed at improving indoor air quality and prolonging the life of higher efficiency final filters. The High Capacity XL10-HC filters share similar construction with the standard capacity filters but feature approximately 30% more media, resulting in extended filter life. The XL10-HC is particularly effective in filtration systems with filter change schedules based on recommended final pressure drop readings.
