These specially designed pipettes feature an open end for use with high viscosity liquids, providing fast fill and release rates, and are typically used with oils, cosmetics, paint, sludge, food, and cell-culture applications. The pipettes are made of polystyrene (PS) and include a fiber filter plug, sterilized by gamma irradiation with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6. They are non-pyrogenic and are individually wrapped in thermoformed paper/plastic peel packaging, making them a safe alternative to glass pipettes. Additionally, they are calibrated to deliver (TD) at +/-2%, meeting ASTM E934, with industry standard color coding that complies with ASTM E1380.
