These new Oakridge style centrifuge tubes from Globe Scientific are an economical choice for high-speed refrigerated or non-refrigerated centrifugation. Molded from durable, chemical-resistant polypropylene, the tubes feature round bottoms and consistent wall thicknesses, enabling them to withstand centrifugation at up to 50,000g when filled to 80% of their nominal capacity; it is essential to fill the tubes to 80% of volume for proper performance. Designed for reusability and autoclavability, these tubes can be sterilized at 121°C. The round bottoms are compatible with high-speed centrifuge rotors, and each tube comes with a screw cap that includes an integral seal ring ensuring a leakproof closure. Additionally, these tubes exhibit excellent chemical resistance, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.
