The kit includes vials and caps that are certified to be human DNA free, RNase free, DNase free, pyrogen free, and ATP free, as well as being non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic, non-mutagenic, heavy metals free, and BSE/TSE free. These components are manufactured, assembled, and packaged in an ISO 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom and are sterilized by beta radiation with a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6. The enhanced cap features a star socket designed for compatibility with automated capping and decapping equipment, while the slim profile cap design ensures a better fit in racks and boxes. Each vial is marked with a unique barcode for automated data collection and includes a white writing surface for specimen identification, along with printed graduations for accurate measurements. The vials and caps are autoclavable and produced from medical-grade raw materials that resist discoloration after re-sterilization. Additionally, the packaging is tamper-evident, and the self-standing tubes can interlock with Globe workstation racks. It is important to note that these products are not to be used in the liquid phase of liquid nitrogen.
