The PestWest Asian lady beetle lure is designed to effectively attract male Asian lady beetles using a potent sex pheromone. Sold separately, this lure serves as a valuable addition to the PestWest Window Wonder trap and can also be utilized with PestWest Insect Light Trap (ILT) quality glue boards. It is recommended to place Window Wonder traps with the lure year-round, particularly in higher quantities during early fall, positioning them at the bases of windows to maximize effectiveness, especially on western and southern exposures. For safety, ensure traps are located out of reach of children and pets, and replace the lure every 30 days while also replacing glue boards when they are filled with beetles or become dusty. Proper storage of the lure requires a dry, well-ventilated, and cool space, and it is important to wash hands before and after handling the lure. Additionally, prior to deploying PestWest ILT systems, it is crucial to check and comply with all applicable electrical and fire codes and to follow PestWest’s instructions for use.
