3M™ Ioban™ 2 Antimicrobial Incise Drapes adhere securely to the skin to reduce the risk of drape lift, which can lead to increased wound contamination. The iodine-impregnated adhesive provides continuous broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity up to the incision edge, helping to diminish the risk of contamination. The product includes a cardiovascular procedure drape with Ioban™ 2 incise film, an absorbent prevention fabric, and a reinforced anesthesia screen, which is included in the MPFN. The drapes have been shown in various studies to enhance safety during surgical procedures by immobilizing bacteria on the skin, thereby reducing contamination rates.
