The MTC Bio line of bacteriological spreaders features four distinct shapes and sizes: the original L-shape, a T-shape version, and two triangle shapes (large and small). All spreaders are supplied in sterile packaging and are designed with smooth, rounded edges to prevent cutting, scraping, or gouging of agar during inoculation. The L-shape spreader is made of ABS, ideal for evenly spreading bacteriological cultures, with a slight upward curve at the edge to prevent dragging or scraping while enabling easy rotation across circular plates. The T-shape spreader, also constructed from ABS, offers a 34mm spreading surface for consistent pressure application and is specifically designed for spreading liquids across agar culture plates, commonly utilized for CFU plate counts in water, milk, and urine testing. The triangle-shaped spreaders, available in both 30mm and 60mm spans, are made of polypropylene and feature a grooved handle for enhanced grip and orientation, making them suitable for CFU count applications.
