The MTC Bio line of bacteriological spreaders includes four different shapes and sizes: L-shape, T-shape, and two triangle shapes (large and small). All versions are supplied in sterile packaging and feature smooth, rounded edges to prevent unwanted cutting, scraping, or gouging of agar during inoculation. The L-shape spreaders are made of ABS and are ideal for evenly spreading bacteriological cultures, allowing for easy rotation and application throughout a round plate or dish, with a slight upward curve at the edge to prevent dragging or scraping. The T-shape version, also made of ABS, is designed to apply consistent pressure across a 34mm spreading surface, commonly used for CFU plate counts on water, milk, and urine. The triangle shape spreaders, available in both a 30mm span and an extra large 60mm span, feature a grooved handle for improved grip and orientation, and are made of polypropylene, also intended for CFU count applications.
