The MTC Bio line of bacteriological spreaders now includes four different shapes and sizes: L-shape, T-shape, and two triangle shapes (large and small). All versions come in sterile packaging and feature smooth, rounded edges to prevent cutting, scraping, or gouging of agar during inoculation. The L-shape spreaders, made of ABS, are designed for even culture spreading and feature a slight upward curve to prevent dragging. The T-shape spreaders, also made of ABS, offer a consistent spreading surface of 34mm, making them suitable for CFU plate counts in various liquids such as water, milk, and urine. The triangle shape spreaders, constructed from polypropylene, come in two sizes with a span of either 30mm or 60mm and feature a grooved handle that enhances grip and orientation. Key attributes include the ability to spread cultures and liquids evenly, smooth edges that minimize gouging, and their presterilized nature, eliminating the need for flaming.
