The 3M E-A-R Classic Metal Detectable Earplugs (Corded, 311-4101) come in a package of 200 pairs and are specifically designed for food processing and other industries where preventing contamination is critical. Each pair is equipped with an implanted stainless steel ball bearing and metal particles in the cord, making them detectable by most metal-sensing systems. The earplugs are packaged in a poly bag to maintain cleanliness before use. Featuring a stainless steel bead and metal powder that enhances detectability, these earplugs provide a snug fit in the ear canal with their soft, slow-recovery foam, offering excellent noise reduction with a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 33 dB, classified as CSA Class AL. It's important to note that actual noise reduction may be less than the NRR due to factors such as earplug fit and user fitting skill, and a reduction of 50% from the NRR is recommended for workplace protection estimates. Additionally, these earplugs are compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System.
