This versatile, dual-light microscope functions as both a high-powered, transmitted-light microscope for viewing microscopic specimens and a low-powered, reflected-light microscope for larger objects such as leaves and bugs. The microscope features two light sources: the lower light for high-detail viewing of ultra-small, translucent specimens like cells, and the upper light for more opaque objects like stamps and insects. It offers five magnification settings: 40X, 100X, 250X, 400X, and 1000X, equipped with full optical glass elements and a sturdy metal framework. The design includes two eyepieces (10X and 25X), a 360-degree rotatable monocular head, coarse and fine focusing controls, a built-in incident and transmitted LED illumination system, and a plain stage with clips and a stain-resistant finish. The head is a 45-degree inclined monocular, with eyepieces of WF10X and WF25X, and objectives of 4X, 10X, and 40X (spring). It has a 0.65 NA single lens condenser with a 6-hole disc diaphragm and stage dimensions of 3-1/2" x 3-1/2". The illumination system is powered by an LED, 1W for both top and bottom, and can operate on a power supply of 110V/60Hz (adapter included) or three AA batteries (included).
