Hybex Erlenmeyer flasks are manufactured from high-quality borosilicate 3.3 glass, characterized by a low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3) that provides superior temperature resistance compared to standard lab glass (or soda lime glass). These flasks are designed to withstand high temperatures, making them suitable for shaking applications, media preparation, and long-term storage. They feature permanent white enamel graduations for precise volume measurement and a white identification box for easy marking or coding. For the storage of media and cultures, the flasks include an autoclavable polypropylene cap with a drip ring. Optional cap colors are available, along with PBT material caps for temperature applications up to 180°C. The flasks have standard GL-45 threads to ensure compatibility with a wide range of cap types from various manufacturers, including phenolic and vented caps.
