The Triplett model MS475 moisture/psychrometer/IR thermometer is a powerful and versatile instrument designed for measuring and diagnosing dampness in buildings and building materials. This product allows building inspectors and remediation technicians to assess moisture levels in various building elements such as walls and floors by easily switching between two operation modes. It facilitates quick indication of moisture content through pin and pinless measurements. The built-in humidity/temperature probe measures relative humidity, air temperature, mixing ratio, vapor pressure, and dew point. The infrared thermometer features a laser pointer with an 8:1 distance to target ratio and 0.95 fixed emissivity suitable for measuring most surfaces. Measurements are displayed on a large, backlit dual LCD, and additional features include high/low humidity and moisture alarms, min/max recording, data hold function, auto power off, and a low battery indicator.
