The Triplett CTX690 network toner and probe kit is designed for locating and tracing cables on both inactive and active networks, as well as live or dead phone lines and coaxial video cabling systems. It supports a variety of media networks that combine twisted pair data, telephone voice, coax, and security/alarm video wiring. The kit features two selectable powerful Net and Tel tones that allow cable installers and datacom/telecom technicians to easily connect to an active network, patch panel, network/telephone wall outlet, or live phone line, facilitating quick isolation of the appropriate wire or cable. The toner provides functions such as pulse/warble tone generation, continuity/polarity checks, and talk battery power. Additionally, the probe includes trace, hub blink, and link modes, complemented by a built-in flashlight. The package includes alligator clips, RJ45 and RJ11 connectors, an F connector adapter for coax cable, a spare tip, and a carrying case.
