The Topog-E® Series 180 gasket is designed to withstand a maximum pressure/temperature rating of 180 PSI (12 bar) for steam applications up to 380°F (193°C) and 200 PSI (14 bar) for water, condensate, air, and similar substances at temperatures up to 300°F (150°C). This gasket exhibits excellent resistance to both hot and cold water, and good resistance to alcohols, ketones, phosphate esters, silicone oils and greases, dilute acids, bases, salts, glycols, ammonia, selected refrigerants, animal and vegetable fats, and water treatment chemicals when applied as per supplier's guidelines. It is not recommended for high concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, or petroleum-based oils, fuels, and lubricants. The gasket can be utilized in various applications, such as steam and hot water boilers, water softeners, hot water heaters, steam humidifiers, water purifiers, refrigeration units, liquid treatment vessels, carbon absorption and filtering vessels, dryer cans in paper mills, water hydrants, mixing tanks, compressed air tanks, deaerators, hatch covers, and PVC reactor vessels.
