The Topog-E® Series 180 gasket is designed to handle a maximum pressure/temperature rating of 180 psi (12 bar) for steam up to 380°F (193°C) and 200 psi (14 bar) for water, condensate, air, and similar applications up to 300°F (150°C). This gasket exhibits excellent resistance to steam and both hot and cold water, along with good resistance to various substances including alcohols, ketones, phosphate esters, silicone oils and greases, dilute acids, bases, salts, glycols, ammonia, selected refrigerants, as well as animal and vegetable fats when utilized according to the supplier's guidelines. It is not recommended for high concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, or petroleum-based oils, fuels, and lubricants. Suitable applications encompass steam and hot water boilers, water softeners, hot water heaters, steam humidifiers, refrigeration units, water purifiers, chemical treatment vessels, and various drying processes. The gasket is designed to meet specific operational needs and can be used in environments such as paper mills, compressed air tanks, water towers, and PVC reactor vessels.
