The Topog-E® Series 180 gasket is designed for use in high-pressure and high-temperature environments, with a maximum pressure rating of 180 psi (12 bar) for steam at temperatures up to 380°F (193°C) and 200 psi (14 bar) for water, condensate, air, and other applications at temperatures up to 300°F (150°C). This gasket exhibits excellent resistance to steam as well as hot and cold water, and offers good compatibility with a variety of substances including alcohols, ketones, phosphate esters, silicone oils, greases, dilute acids, bases, salts, glycols, ammonia, selected refrigerants, and animal and vegetable fats, provided it is used according to supplier guidelines. However, it is not recommended for use with high concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, or petroleum-based oils, fuels, and lubricants. The gasket is suitable for a wide range of applications such as steam and hot water boilers, water softeners, hot water heaters, steam humidifiers, cookers, water purifiers, demineralizers, refrigeration units, liquid treatment vessels, carbon absorption and filtering vessels, dryer cans in paper mills, water hydrants, mixing tanks, compressed air tanks, various types of dryers, air starters and receivers, deaerators, hatch covers, and water towers and columns, including PVC reactor vessels.
