The Topog-E® Series 180 gasket features a maximum pressure/temperature rating of 180 PSI (12 bar) for steam applications up to 380°F (193°C) and 200 PSI (14 bar) for water, condensate, air, and similar substances up to 300°F (150°C). This gasket exhibits excellent resistance to steam and both hot and cold water, along with good resistance to alcohols, ketones, phosphate esters, silicone oils and greases, dilute acids, bases, salts, glycols, ammonia, selected refrigerants, and animal and vegetable fats. It is also compatible with water treatment chemicals when used according to the supplier's guidelines. However, it is not recommended for use with high concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, or petroleum-based oils, fuels, and lubricants. The gasket is suitable for various applications including steam and hot water boilers, water softeners, hot water heaters, steam humidifiers and cookers, water purifiers, demineralizers, refrigeration units, liquid treatment vessels, carbon absorption and filtering vessels, dryer cans in paper mills, water hydrants, mixing tanks, compressed air tanks, and various types of dryers, air starters and receivers, deaerators, hatch covers, and water towers and columns, as well as PVC reactor vessels.
