The kit is designed for tankless heaters without built-in pumps for single pipe systems and includes the AM7 AquaMotion stainless steel circulator with a built-in timer and a 10 ft line cord. It features the AMK-ODR bypass valve kit, which comprises an ODR valve, a 2 ft stainless steel hose, a bypass tee (3/4" MNPT x 3/4" MNPT x 3/8" OD compression), two 3/4" NPT male tail pieces with 1" union nuts and gaskets, and an additional 2 ft stainless hose. The AquaMotion ODR valve is a small, quiet, lead-free stainless/brass hot water recirculation valve designed for single pipe systems. It is intended for installation at the fixture furthest from the tankless hot water heater, working in conjunction with the circulator to ensure a supply of hot water via the integrated timer. The ODR valve is mounted below the fixture between the hot and cold supply lines; when hot water is requested by the built-in timer, the circulator moves cooled hot water from the hot water line into the cold supply line, sending it back to the hot water heater. As the temperature near the ODR valve increases, it closes at a preset point until a temperature of 95°F is reached, at which point the valve adjusts to maintain the desired temperature.
