The Dynarex Xeroform gauze dressing is a sterile, non-adherent, knitted gauze impregnated with a blend of petroleum, 3% bismuth, mineral, and paraffin oils, designed for deep to shallow wounds with minimal exudate. This highly conformable and non-occlusive dressing allows the wound to breathe while maintaining a moist environment that encourages healing and minimizes the risk of skin and tissue maceration. It is suitable for minimally draining wounds and is effective for treating chronic non-infected wounds. The primary dressing is appropriate for low-exuding wounds at stages 2, 3, or 4, and the active ingredient, 3% bismuth, helps reduce wound odor.
