A good quality vacuum pump is an integral tool for complete A/C service, and Mastercool® vacuum pumps are designed for durability and reliability in demanding conditions. This kit includes a new U.S. designed pump featuring a stronger motor and a gas ballast valve that helps prevent oil contamination caused by high moisture. The pump is equipped with an easily removable vapor discharge/oil fill port that contains an internal check valve to prevent the escape of liquid oil, as well as a large oil level sight glass with max/min oil level indicators and an easily accessible oil drain valve. The design also incorporates a large, lightweight reinforced base for stable positioning, cooling fins to maintain a lower temperature during extended motor operation, and a high volume fan that provides cool air to the motor and pump. The manifold valve isolates the pump from the system when testing for leaks and includes three inlet ports: 1/4", 3/8" SAE, and 1/2" ACME. Additionally, the pump offers dual voltage capability and features a thermally protected motor with an on/off rocker switch.
