The blade is constructed from 1/8" thick steel, featuring a 3-prong mount between the blades and hub, and is designed with three heavy-duty spring steel blades that are securely riveted with three ¼" round head solid steel rivets, ensuring they are statically balanced. The guard includes an instant opening hinge feature for ease of maintenance and cleaning and is constructed with a 6 gauge outer and radial rib wire size alongside an 11-1/2 gauge spiral wire size. Both the blade and guard meet all safety standards, including OSHA and UL probe requirements, with a clearance between the guard and blade at any point not less than 2-1/2" (with a minimum clearance of 1-1/2" on the 20" model). The design includes eight front to rear guard positive locking fastening loops with hinge capability (six fastening loops on the 20" guard), and the guards fasten securely to the motor using four motor thru-bolts.
