The blade is constructed from 1/8" thick steel and features a 3-prong mount between the blades and hub, designed with three heavy-duty spring steel blades that are securely riveted with three round head solid steel rivets, ensuring they are statically balanced. The guard incorporates an instant opening hinge feature for ease of maintenance and cleaning, constructed with a 6 gauge outer and radial rib wire size along with an 11-1/2 gauge spiral wire size. Both the blade and guard comply with safety standards, including OSHA and UL probe requirements, with a clearance between the guard and blade at any point not less than 2-1/2 inches (with a minimum of 1-1/2 inches clearance on the 20" model). The guard includes 8 front-to-rear guard positive locking fastening loops with hinge capability (6 fastening loops on the 20" guard) and fastens securely to the motor using 4 motor thru-bolts.
