The blade is constructed of 1/8" thick steel and features a 3-prong mount between the blades and the hub, designed with three heavy-duty spring steel blades that are securely riveted with three round head solid steel rivets and statically balanced. The guard includes an instant opening hinge feature for ease of maintenance and cleaning, and is made from 6 gauge outer and radial rib wire, with an 11-1/2 gauge spiral wire size. Both the blade and guard meet all safety standards including OSHA and UL probe. The clearance between the guard and blade at any point is not less than 2-1/2", with a minimum of 1-1/2" clearance on the 20" model. The guard is equipped with 8 front to rear positive locking fastening loops with hinge capability (6 fastening loops on the 20" guard) and fastens securely to the motor using 4 motor thru-bolts.
