The blade is constructed from 1/8" thick steel with a 3-prong mount between the blades and hub, featuring three heavy-duty spring steel blades that are securely riveted with three 3/16" round head solid steel rivets and statically balanced. The guard includes an instant opening hinge feature for ease of maintenance and cleaning, and is made with a 6 gauge outer and radial rib wire size, along with an 11-1/2 gauge spiral wire size. Both the blade and guard comply with all safety standards, including OSHA and UL probe certifications. The clearance between the guard and blade at any point is not less than 2-1/2", with a minimum of 1-1/2" clearance on the 20" model. Additionally, there are 8 front-to-rear guard positive locking fastening loops with hinge capability (6 fastening loops on the 20" guard), and guards secure tightly to the motor using 4 motor thru-bolts.
