The 3M Xtract™ Pneumatic Random Orbital Sander is an essential tool within the 3M Xtract™ sanding system, designed to provide nearly dust-free sanding when paired with 3M Xtract™ net discs and a 3M Xtract™ portable dust extractor. This powerful sander operates at 0.28 HP (209W) and is constructed with durable, lightweight aluminum housings and precision-balanced air-driven motors, making it suitable for industrial applications. The sander features a rear threaded attachment for easy connection to a 1" external threaded vacuum hose (sold separately), enabling efficient dust elimination during use. When utilized with 3M Xtract™ net discs and the appropriate dust extraction setup, the system is capable of extracting up to 97% of the dust generated during sanding. The tool is vacuum-ready for compatibility with the 3M Xtract™ portable dust extractor or existing central vacuum systems, and it also offers non-vacuum options.
