The 3M Xtract™ pneumatic random orbital sander is an essential part of the 3M Xtract™ sanding system, designed to work with 3M Xtract™ net discs and the 3M Xtract™ portable dust extractor to facilitate virtually dust-free sanding. It features a powerful 0.28 HP (209W) air-driven motor housed in a durable, lightweight aluminum casing, making it suitable for industrial use and capable of withstanding long hours on the shop floor. This sander connects easily to the 3M Xtract™ portable dust extractor, 3M™ clean sanding filter bags, or existing central vacuum systems via a rear threaded attachment that accommodates a 1" external threaded vacuum hose (sold separately). When used in conjunction with 3M Xtract™ net discs and dust extraction, it can extract up to 97% of the dust created during sanding, promoting a cleaner work environment and enhancing efficiency. The equipment includes a vacuum-ready function for use with the 3M Xtract™ portable dust extractor or a central vacuum system, a self-generated vacuum for a compact solution, and offers non-vacuum options as well.
