Birdwire® is a spring-tensioned post and wire system designed to create an unstable landing area that discourages pest birds from landing, particularly effective against pigeons in light to medium bird pressure environments. The system is made from stainless steel, with nylon-coated wire attached to stainless steel posts and tensioned using springs, facilitating an involved installation process. Birdwire is highly discreet, making it one of the least visible ledge products, which is ideal for high-visibility areas where aesthetics are important, such as long, exposed ledges, parapets, signs, beams, and pipes. The installation can be customized with special attachments such as pipe clamps, gutter clamps, and beam clamps for various surfaces, and the product carries GSA approval for use on historic buildings.
