The system features patent-pending plastic clips that are UV-stable and won't scratch the solar panels, with a recommendation to space the clips every 18 inches for optimal effectiveness. The clips bind the wire mesh to the panels without the need for drilling holes, ensuring no damage to the system, and the installation remains nearly invisible from the ground. The wire mesh is supplied in rolls, and the preferred installation technique involves cutting it into six-foot lengths, straightening it before heading onto the roof, and bending up the bottom one-inch at about 30 degrees to create a kick-out that locks the mesh securely in place. Basic tools such as tin snips are required for installation. The system is non-penetrating, fast, and easy to install, with the added benefit of being easily removable for maintenance services.
