The Bird Barrier® adhesive is an exceptionally strong yet flexible formulation designed to secure Bird-Coil® clips, Birdwire®, Bird-Flite®, Bird-Shock®, and Daddi Long Legs™ to various surfaces. It is capable of withstanding dramatic temperature fluctuations without cracking and is compatible with metals, plastics, wood, steel, sheet metal, concrete, brick, and most building substrates. For optimal performance, the mounting surface should be dry, clean, and properly prepared. The adhesive fully cures in 24 hours at normal temperatures but can be usable in as little as four hours under certain conditions. It is environmentally friendly, as it does not contain alcohol, which must evaporate to cure, and instead cures by absorbing moisture from the air—leaving 100% of the glue in place to secure the product. The adhesive is non-flammable, making it easier and more economical to ship without hazardous surcharges. Its gray color allows for easy blending with most surfaces, and cleanup can be accomplished with soap and water. Users are advised to wear surgical gloves during application.
