This type of steel boasts a chemical composition that includes high levels of nickel, enhancing its resistance to extreme temperatures and promoting sanitation. The inherently sterile nature of stainless steel is further improved through electropolishing, making it an optimal choice for environments dealing with corrosive chemicals such as blood, salt, and cleaning agents. With a melting point between 2,550°F - 2,650°F (1399°C - 1454°C) and a maximum operating temperature of approximately 870°C, Grade 304 stainless steel maintains a high tensile strength of about 621 MPa (90 KSI). Its chemical makeup consists of 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel.
