The Chill-Its® 6283 rechargeable phase change ice pack is designed to enhance cooling for workers in high-temperature environments and is specifically compatible with the Chill-Its 6483 cooling neck gaiter, where it can be inserted into the interior back-of-neck pocket for optimal cooling for up to 2 hours. The pack maintains a temperature of 64° F (18° C) during use and can be activated through multiple methods: placing it in a cooler of ice water for 5 minutes, in a freezer for 9 minutes, in a refrigerator for 12 minutes, or near an air conditioner for 1 to 2 hours. To maintain the pack, it should be hand washed with mild detergent and warm water, and dried with a paper towel or cloth; machine washing or drying is not recommended. This cooling pack is ideal for various applications, including construction, landscaping, and recreational activities such as gardening and hiking, providing immediate and lasting relief from heat stress.
